British Newspapers from August 31 1997
News of Princess Diana’s death was received by national newspapers very late in the evening, because of this many early editions of Sunday newspapers did not carry the news and later editions were published to make up for this. As a result numerous editions were published.
Some have since become very valuable.
We are offering here the following 5 Newspapers:
- The People
- The Sunday Mirror Special Edition
- The Independent on Sunday Early edition
- The Independent on Sunday Later edition
- The Express on Sunday Early Edition
The People has both Glossy Magazines. TV First and Yes!
The Sunday Mirror only devotes the first 5 pages to the death of the Princess and then reports other news (pages 23 - 50 missing). In stark contrast to its publication on the following day when entire prints were devoted to the Princess.
Both the Independents contain the following Supplements: Travel & Money, Bloomberg Business, Real Life, UCAS Listing. However only one edition contains the Sunday Review.
Also the version printing the news of the accident and death of the Princess is only on the top half of the front page and is described very briefly. Once again in contrast to the following day.
The Express has Dodi Killed and Diana Injured as its headline. Supplements: The Express on Sunday Magazine and Sports Sunday Pull Out.
In terms of condition all the papers are excellently preserved and with only slight colour distortion (which is expected with Newspapers over 25+ Years old).
Our price for all 5 Newspapers is £3,000 (this includes vat and free UK delivery).
